Artichoke!


Simply boiled and eaten warm, leaf after leaf, with vinaigrette until getting to the best part–the heart. Yum!

I'll try to cook them whole next time: when I try to extract the heart, it's always a disaster and I feel I'm throwing away most of the artichoke...

just priced them here in st louis. GASP. oh my. I ate them at least 4 times a week when in CA. No more of that. now it's only a special treat for Belle and I.
